Pressure, rhythm, and the thumb move everybody's already claiming as their favorite. 🖤 European massage practice for our August esthetics class — mannequins first, clients later.

Esthetics, 750 hours. Next class starts October 13.

Foils are a patience test. 🪄

Clean sections, even tension, product from base to ends — every foil either holds up or it doesn't, and you find out when it comes off. Our students spend weeks on placement before a guest ever sits in the chair.

All clinic services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed educators.

Cosmetology classes start October 13.

First time shampooing a real person — and the nerves lasted about ten seconds. 😄

These two spent the morning learning to shampoo at the bowl, then came back to the chair to round brush each other out. Working on a classmate is the step between the mannequin and the clinic floor: real hair, real density, someone who will absolutely tell you if you snag it.

Cosmetology classes start October 13.

Facial steam is doing more than it looks. 💨

It softens the skin so extractions are gentle instead of aggressive — one of the first things our esthetics students learn to do properly. Do it right and the rest of the facial is easy on the guest.

Esthetician program: 750 hours, about 6 months full-time. Next class starts October 13.

Before the facial, the fundamentals. 🧊

Our esthetics students spent today on lymphatic drainage — jade rollers, gemstone tools and dry brush technique, one stroke at a time.

Brow lamination: the brows get softened, brushed into place and set — cling wrap and all. It's not glamorous in the middle, but the finish speaks for itself.

One month on the floor. 💇‍♀️ We asked our students their favorite service, their least favorite, and the one they can't wait to trade for. The perms-vs-foils debate is very real.

Before anyone touches a guest, there's the mannequin. ✂️

Sectioning, elevation, clean lines — our cosmetology students log hours on mannequin heads until the technique is muscle memory. It's the least glamorous part of school and the part that makes everything after it look easy.

And the winner is… the Scarecrow. 🌻

Congratulations Adasyn Hafley — sunflowers, fall leaves and a hand-painted stitched smile took the top spot in our Anything But Hair Challenge.

Runner-up: Mackenzie Fultz and her glitter-splattered wiggle worm pop art — and yes, we've been told those are cat toys, not pipe cleaners. 😂

Every one of our March students brought something completely different to this one, from sugar skulls to horror looks, and not a single strand of hair between them. That's the kind of creative problem-solving that makes a great stylist.

Thank you to everyone who voted — 84 votes across our followers, staff, students and guests. 🗳️

Nails are a career, too.

Not everyone wants to be behind a styling chair — and that's fine. Our Manicure program is 600 hours, about 5 months, and takes you from gel and pedicures to a licensed nail tech with a real client book.

Financial aid available for those that qualify.

Anything But Hair Challenge. 🎨

One rule for our March class: style your mannequin using anything EXCEPT hair. They showed up with pipe cleaners, dried florals, fall leaves, yarn and a whole lot of paint.

Now you pick the winner — comment 1, 2, 3 or 4 below. 🗳️

1️⃣ Sugar skull
2️⃣ Jigsaw
3️⃣ Scarecrow
4️⃣ Pipe cleaner pop art

Voting closes Friday at noon. 👀

Real guests. Real chair. Real skills.

Mannequins only get you so far. Our students earn their 1,000 cosmetology hours on the clinic floor — real guests, real timing — with a licensed educator right there. That's why our grads start their first salon job already knowing what the chair feels like.

Financial aid available for those that qualify.

Color is chemistry you can see. 🎨

Adasyn weaving foils, McKenzie walking her guest through the swatch book, Mackenzie sectioning before the first application — one color day, three sets of hands learning the same lesson: get the prep right and the color takes care of itself.

Our student clinic is where the theory becomes muscle memory. All services are performed by students under the supervision of licensed educators.

Braids are patience made visible. 🩷

Julia spent today's class sectioning and braiding her classmate Mackenzie — clean parts, even tension, every braid tracking straight from the crown down. Practicing on each other is how our students build the hands before a guest ever sits in their chair.

Braiding, color, cutting, styling — it all gets built here, hour by hour.

Steady hands don't happen by accident. 💅

Nail tech is detail work — the shaping, the cuticle care, the clean polish line. Our manicure students learn it the only way it sticks: 600 hours of training and real guests in the chair on our clinic floor.

About 5 months. One skill set you can build a career on.

750 hours. Then you prove it. ✨

This is Angela performing a luxury facial on her model for test out — the day an esthetics student stops practicing and starts proving. Steam, cleanse, extractions, massage, mask. Timing, pressure, and product choice all judged.

Six months ago she'd never held a mag lamp. Today she runs a full treatment room.
