Our cosmetology program is comprised of 1,000 clock hours and can be completed in as little as 7 months, up to 12 months. This means it’s possible to become a licensed professional in Texas in as little as a year!
In addition to the required courses, our focus is to help beauty professionals become successful in the business side of the industry, with a unique training in client consultations and “Retail Edge.” It is our intent to develop not only skilled cosmetologists, but professionals qualified to become leaders in our community and industry as well.

Our cosmetology curriculum meets Texas’s requirements to help students become licensed cosmetologists. During your time at our school, you can learn everything ranging from haircuts and hair coloring to facials to manicures and pedicures.

Shampoo and Related Theory: 67 hours
Hair and Scalp Treatments and Related Theory: 33 hours
Cold Waving and Related Theory: 133 hours
Chemical Hair Relaxing and Related Theory: 33 hours
Hair Coloring and Related Theory: 133 hours
Manicuring and Related Theory: 67 hours
Facials and Related Theory: 33 hours
Haircutting, Styling and Related Theory: 334 hours
Chemistry: 50 hours
Salon Management and Practices: 50 hours

All of our accredited programs are full time. But, we designed our program to make it possible to balance beauty school and other work or life responsibilities. Classes are held:
Tuesday – Saturday
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
We have classes that start throughout the year, so get in touch with our team to learn when you can start your cosmetology education.
Use the equipment licensed professionals use and have the tools necessary to learn in class and at home. All student kits include Chromebook with IPS Touch Screen, Milady MindTap and Milady textbook, tools, and supplies required for in class and student salon training.
All services are provided under the supervision of licensed professionals.
As an Aveda Institute, we provide students with environmentally-conscious Aveda products that provide stunning results with organically-derived ingredients. This unique product line often gives our students an extra edge when pursuing a career. You can expect to get the full kit after a week of starting classes.
Students must provide their own supplies to sit for the state exam or can purchase from the Institute. All products for use on clients are provided by the Institute.
