Our mission is to help our manicurist students learn the skills needed to become a licensed manicurist and find a future career. Our manicure program is comprised of 600 clock hours and can be completed in as little as 5 months or at most 7.5 months. This could be the perfect option for you if you want to get started in the beauty industry fast.
If you’re looking for a more comprehensive education in hair, skincare, and nails, our cosmetology program may be a good fit for you.
As part of the curriculum at William Edge Institute, you can expect to learn both the theory and practical skills needed to provide a variety of manicuring and pedicuring services. In addition to the required skills, William Edge Institute also offers complete training in sculptured nails, nail wraps, soft and hard gels, and nail art.
Here’s a general overview of everything covered in our program:
Orientation, Rules, Laws and Preparation: 15 hours
Equipment, Implements, and Supplies: 15 hours
Procedures (all manicure, pedicure and artificial nail services): 320 hours
Arm and Hands (anatomy, nail and skin diseases and disorders, etc.): 70 hours
Bacteriology, Sanitation and Safety: 100 hours
Professional Practices: 80 hours

Our class schedule is a full-time program at 30 hours per week. This makes it possible to pursue your future career sooner! It is also possible to work while going to school as our class schedule is only during the day. Classes are held:
Tuesday – Saturday
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
We start classes throughout the year. Contact our Admissions team to find out when our next class start date is to see when you can start your education in manicuring.
All student kits include Chromebook with IPS Touch Screen, Milady MindTap and Milady textbook, tools, and supplies required for in-class and student salon training. Our kit also includes professional products like a Gelish Starter Kit and a custom Tammy Taylor Acrylic Kit, so you can work with salon-quality products while you’re still learning.
Students must provide their own supplies to sit for the state exam or they can purchase products from the Institute. All products for use on clients are provided by the Institute.
Financial aid is available to those who qualify. If the cost of beauty school is your concern, we offer multiple options to make paying for school possible! From federal grants to scholarships and in-house payment plans, we can help you afford beauty school.
